The Finishing Touch for Your Curtain Pole

A 28mm curtain decorative rod finial is the small but impactful detail that completes the look of your window treatment. These decorative end caps sit at the tips of your curtain pole, preventing curtains from sliding off while adding a touch of personality, elegance, or modern flair to the room. Whether you prefer a classic ball shape, a contemporary cage design, or a whimsical sculpted figure, the right finial ties the entire window dressing together.

Designed specifically for 28mm (1-1/4″) diameter curtain poles, these finials are compatible with the most popular pole size for medium to heavy-weight curtains. They are available in a wide range of materials and finishes to coordinate with your existing hardware and interior décor. Installation is straightforward, typically requiring only a screw-fit or push-fit with a grub screw, making it an easy upgrade for any room.

28mm Curtain Decorative Rod Finial Features and Benefits

Universal 28mm Compatibility

These 28mm Curtain Decorative Rod Finial are engineered to fit poles with a 28mm (1-1/4″) diameter, which is the industry standard for curtain poles capable of supporting medium to heavyweight curtains. The internal diameter is precisely sized to ensure a snug, secure fit without wobbling.

Wide Range of Styles and Materials

Finials are available in numerous designs to suit any interior style:

• Classic Ball: A timeless, rounded shape in metal or wood.

• Cage / Geometric: Modern metal cage designs for a contemporary look.

• Sculpted / Novelty: Whimsical shapes like the Hamish the Highland Cow for a rustic or playful touch.

• Glass / Mercurised: Decorative steel and glass options for a luxurious finish.

• Wood: Solid wood finials for a natural, warm aesthetic.

Materials range from steel, iron, and aluminium to wood, plastic, and glass, allowing you to match durability and style preferences.

Secure and Easy Installation

Most finials feature a simple installation method. Some push onto the pole and are secured with a grub screw (supplied), while others use a screw-fit mechanism. This means you can easily swap finials for a seasonal refresh or when updating your décor.

Durable Construction

Whether made from metal or wood, these finials are crafted to provide long-lasting durability. Metal finials often feature a wipe-clean finish, while wood finials may come with a protective coating.

Installation Guide

Tools Required: None (for push-fit with grub screw); screwdriver (for screw-fit models).

Step 1: Check Compatibility
Confirm your curtain pole has a 28mm diameter. Measure the inner diameter of the finial to ensure it matches.

Step 2: Attach the Finial

• Push-fit models: Slide the finial onto the end of the pole. Tighten the supplied grub screw with a small screwdriver or Allen key until secure.

• Screw-fit models: Align the threaded insert with the pole end and twist clockwise until tight.

Step 3: Test Security
Gently pull the 28mm Curtain Decorative Rod Finial on the finial to ensure it is firmly attached and will not slip off when the curtains are moved.

Maintenance and Care of 28mm Curtain Decorative Rod Finial

• Cleaning: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. For metal finials, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by drying immediately to prevent water spots.

• Inspection: Periodically check the grub screw or threaded connection and tighten if necessary.

• Replacement: If a finial becomes damaged or lost, replace it promptly to maintain the appearance and function of your curtain pole.

For a polished, coordinated look that elevates your window treatments, the 28mm curtain decorative rod finial is the perfect finishing touch.
