Moment fibreglass tape 46mmx90m

Product Description

Fibreglass tape rolls are the reinforcement upgrade your drywall workflow needs. This tape solves paper tape bubbling, joint cracking, tape tearing, and insufficient length for larger projects. It delivers smooth, crack-free finishes and efficient workflow.

Core Specifications

The 46mm width is the industry standard for drywall joint reinforcement, providing optimal coverage while maintaining a smooth, low-profile finish. The 90m length reduces roll changes and minimizes waste on larger projects.

Construction and Materials

Woven fibreglass mesh with self-adhesive backing provides exceptional tensile strength and dimensional stability. The consistent grid pattern provides uniform reinforcement in all directions. The self-adhesive backing eliminates the need for pre-mudding or wetting the tape.

Performance and Advantages

The fibreglass material resists moisture, mould, and mildew, making it superior to paper tape in humid environments. The open mesh design allows joint compound to penetrate through the tape for a strong mechanical bond. The tape is dimensionally stable, preventing cracking over time. The material is non-combustible, meeting fire safety requirements.

Installation and Convenience

The self-adhesive backing reduces installation time by up to 50% compared to paper tape. The tape applies smoothly and conforms easily to corners and curved surfaces. The adhesive adheres to drywall, plasterboard, and cement board without bubbling or peeling. The tape tears cleanly by hand, eliminating cutting tools.

Compatibility and Performance

The tape provides superior crack resistance by distributing stress across the joint. Compatible with all standard joint compounds including lightweight, all-purpose, and setting-type compounds. The open mesh design allows excellent compound penetration for a smooth, professional finish. Suitable for both hand-taping and automatic taping tools.

Durability and Quality

QA testing includes tensile strength, adhesion, dimensional stability, and compatibility testing. Fibreglass strands maintain strength over time without degradation. The adhesive remains sticky through long-term storage and application. The tape resists chemicals commonly found in joint compounds.
