Second, cut the nozzle. Cut the tip of the cartridge at a 45-degree angle to the desired bead size.

Third, apply the sealant. Load the cartridge into a standard caulking gun and apply the silicone steadily along the joint.

Finally, tool and smooth. Immediately after applying, use a wet finger or a smoothing tool to press the sealant into the joint and create a neat, concave finish.
